Profile:
Dr. Danijela Jelovac graduated from the University of Belgrade School Of Medicine and then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Maryland.
Dr. Jelovac completed residency in Internal Medicine at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at SKCCC.
Dr. Jelovac joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in 2011 in the division of breast and gynaecologic cancer.
Dr. Jelovac’s area of expertise is in women malignancies, particularly breast cancer and ovarian cancer. She is the principal investigator and co-principal investigator on numerous clinical trials for patients with breast and gynaecologic malignancies.
Dr. Jelovac has particular interest in a multidisciplinary approach to management of patients with breast cancer and neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
Dr. Jelovac is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has presented her work at national and international meetings.
