Dr. Khalid Balaraj was initially trained in the United Kingdom. He has radiation oncology qualifications from - UK (FRCR (I), Ireland (FFR RCSI) and Canada (FRCPC).
He has done 2 Clinical Fellowships from Canada, in Gynecology Brachytherapy and CNS Stereotactic Radiotherapy.
He has worked as an Assistant Professor in Al Faisal University, Riyadh, as well as Consultant of Radiation Oncology, for 7 years, treating patients on the latest technology, including IMRT, IGRT, Tomotherapy, Rapid Arc and Cyber- Knife at King Faisal specialist Hospital, Riyadh.
Dr. Balaraj has treated patients on international RTOG trials.
He has been General Secretary of the Saudi Cancer Society and Oncology Advisor for the CME Oncology Program Middle East.
Joined Tawam hospital as a chairman of Radiation oncology department on September 2011
Currently he is an assistant professor at UAE University and the chairman of Tawam hospital Oncology Services and the chair of oncology service line at SEHA.
