Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is organising the 10th edition of Al Ain Book Fair (AABF) at Al Ain Convention Centre.
During this year’s edition, DCT Abu Dhabi will mark the 10-year anniversary of AABF, running from 23 September to 2 October 2018, by celebrating Emirati culture and promoting the local publishing industry.
Throughout its 10 days, the Al Ain Book Fair will host various local publishing houses and cultural institutions, with the aim to display a selection of Emirati titles and authors, explore their creative experiences, and offer a showcase to their intellect and cultural contribution. Additionally, the Fair will feature daily book signings of publications by UAE-based intellectual and creative figures.
Saif Saeed Ghobash, Undersecretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “This year, we celebrate 10 years of AABF, which has succeeded in boosting its profile as an important platform offering visitors the latest local publications.”
“The Fair is an extension of Abu Dhabi's cultural scene, supported by DCT Abu Dhabi’s endeavors to promote the emirate’s status as a hub for cultural activity and open dialogue.”
